They’re doing great work on a very limited budget and can really use the help. Your entry includes a donation to MACC Pack.

All MACC Pack links include campaign attribution.

Diablo

🌶️🌶️🌶️x3

Competitive tier. Complete every Taco Bell stop and eat all required items.

Hot

🌶️🌶️x2

Hit the Taco Bell stops and eat any menu item from each. You may skip bringing an item back to Haggard’s.

  • Great balance of speed and spice.
  • Same course as Mild, just with Taco Bell.
  • No required menu items, but must eat food (not just drinks) from each Taco Bell stop.

Mild

🌶️x1

Run 25K with optional taco-stop fun. Eat (or don’t) at stops — you choose.

  • Recommended for those just looking to run.
  • Follow the full course, but no need to dine on Taco Bell.
  • Cheer on others while you run!

Safety & Inclusivity

Taco stops are completely optional, and spice levels are designed to be fun, safe, and accessible. You do not need to declare your spiciness before the race and are welcome to change as desired. Please run within your limits.

Sliding scale between tiers

You can downgrade during the event if needed: Diablo → Hot, Hot → Mild. The only DNFs are for not completing the full distance.

Race rules

General

  • Be courteous: wait your turn in line, be kind to staff and customers, and keep the vibes fun.
  • Follow all traffic laws. Cross roads legally, yield appropriately, and use sidewalks/paths where available.
  • No littering. Pack out all trash and packaging (including gels, cups, and receipts).
  • Headphones are okay; keep volume low and stay aware. No external speakers on course.
  • Participants must be 21+. Carry ID and a way to pay for your items. Bring hydration and dress for the weather.
  • First item must be eaten at 11am before starting to run. Last item must be eaten at Haggard's before the cutoff.
  • Food items at other stops can be eaten while running. No littering; pack out all trash and packaging.
  • Order through the Taco Bell app if possible, you can order ahead and it will make receipt-checking easy.
  • Cutoff is 5h30 at 4:30 PM. You may downgrade tiers mid‑race; only DNFs are for not completing the distance.

Diablo — eating requirements

Complete every Taco Bell stop and eat all required items:

  1. TB Knollwood — Crunchwrap
  2. TB Golden Valley — Taco
  3. TB Golden Valley (2nd time) — Taco
  4. TB Knollwood (2nd time) — Two tacos
  5. Haggard’s finish — Burrito (≥ 360 calories)
  • Note: Burrito is carried back (about 3.2 miles) from Knollwood TB, or delivered by a crew member.
  • Keep receipts and wrappers; present them at the finish as proof.
  • 1,560 calories total using the lowest calorie item in each stop. While you can eat any item in the category, I strongly recommend items close to minimum calories. The goal is people eating the same food in this tier for fair competition.
  • If you cannot finish a required item, you’ll be scored in the Hot tier; your distance still counts.
